From May 27 to 29, 2023, the "18th National Ion Chromatography Academic Conference & the 6th Ion Chromatography Expert Committee Meeting" was successfully held in Haikou, Hainan Province. The conference was organized by the Analytical Instrument Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society, hosted by the Analysis and Testing Center of Hainan University, and co-organized by the Laboratory Work Committee of Hainan Provincial Colleges and Universities. Qingdao Puren Instruments Co., Ltd. was invited to attend and delivered a featured presentation titled "Applications of Dual-System Portable Ion Chromatographs."

The PIC-60 Portable Ion Chromatograph is a dual-system ion chromatograph featuring light weight, compact size, water-electricity separation, and rapid detection capabilities. It is widely applicable in emergency detection systems across industries such as petroleum, environmental protection, marine science, and public security.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Mr. Cao Xianzhong, Vice President of Hainan University, Mr. Liu Changkuan, Secretary-General of the Analytical Instrument Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society, and Professor Zhu Yan from Zhejiang University each delivered opening addresses.

The conference invited numerous distinguished experts to present featured reports and facilitated academic exchanges and panel discussions on new achievements and advancements in ion chromatography and related technical fields. On-site, salon seminars were held on topics including ion chromatography columns, ion chromatography detectors, ion chromatography suppressors and eluent generators, ion chromatography applications, and ion chromatography sample pretreatment. This conference served as a platform for researchers and industry professionals to share cutting-edge research and technological achievements, fostering interactive discussions and further accelerating the rapid development of ion chromatography technology in China.
